Youth Ventures will begin April 24th , 2017!! (Pending confirmation of funding). We're looking to hire an energetic, motivated Program Co-ordinator for the Lake Melville Region at $15 an hour for 35 hours per week.

YOUTH VENTURES PROGRAM COORDINATOR

CBDC Labrador invites applications for the anticipated position of Youth Ventures Program Coordinator. Youth Ventures is a summer program which assists and supports student entrepreneurs in the Lake Melville Region with summer business development initiatives.

The responsibilities of the Coordinator will be to:

* Solicit participants from the area's youth; includes school presentations and public presentations;
* Develop and present workshops on preparing business plans and business operations;
* Provide the necessary business support to the individuals in the areas of business plan development, administration and marketing;
* Liaison with local business mentors;
* Monitor the progress of the student businesses;
* Prepare reports as required.

A good knowledge of marketing and business administration concentrating on business plan development; word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software; strong communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work with minimal supervision is also required. Preference will be given to students of Business Administration or similar field. Access to a vehicle is required. Duration of employment is sixteen (16) weeks commencing April 24th , 2017 with one week training to take place in Deer Lake, NL. Please send resume outlining three (3) references to:
